"WHAT A LOSER" for S.T.E.V.E.

 

In 2009 STEVE starts his qwest to Strive To End Vagrancy Everywhere (S.T.E.V.E) as he commits himself to a new healthier lifestyle not only to better himself but to better the lives of homeless individuals who Strive To Reach Educate And Transform Self (STREATS).

STEVE will cut out the fat and needs your help in bringing home the bacon (WOW what a play on words!).

What is S.T.E.V.E. ?

Striving To End Vagrancy Everywhere is a transforming Life Skills training program designed and delivered in an enlightening, all encompensing format that concentrates on challenges, circumstances, and situations that cause homeless individuals to be vulnerable to not becoming all we (STEVE is formerly homeless) can be. As STEVE -Strives To End Vagrency Everywhere, he facilitates sessions directly to homeless individuals who seek to exit homelessness by sharing experience with professional service organizations with resources needed to move individuals along the way. Your participation in Steve's weight loss challenge directly funds this unprecedented peer-to-peer homeless training that will continue to bring facinating and functional facilitators, employment opportunities, career counseling, NA/AA sessions, financial literacy, and so much more.

How "What a Loser" Works ?

Steve's journey with weight loss will be a long one with a goal of 100 pounds over a year. We have provided an option for you to contribute as many dollars per pound lost as you like with the minumum being $1 per pound. Quarterly on March 31 2009, June 30, 2009, September 30, 2009, and December 31, 2009 we will have a weigh in where we pause to see where Steve is at. It is at this time that we ask that you honor your pledge as the collection of your contribution will transpire quarterly alongside with the weigh-in. Now we all know that everyone has a tendency to lose then gain, therefore the quarterly weigh in creates a new starting point - Lets look at this example:

On 1/1/09 Steve weights 375 lbs and on 3/31/09 Steve weighs 350 lbs and you pledged $5 a pound then on 4/1/01 your contribution is $125 (25lbs x $5 per lb)

On 6/30 Steve weighs 360 lbs - Steve has lost no pounds and your contribution is $0 but if Steve is at 350 lbs and you pledged $5 a pound then on 7/1/01 your contribution is $50 (10lbs x $5 per lb)

We will pick up his 6/30/09 weight (360 lbs or 340 lbs from the example above for his starting point for the 3rd Quarter beginning 7/1/9.
